Arya Roofing & Contracting recently put a new cedar roof on a historic landmark house built in 1794 and located in Lexington Common.
The Levi and Rebekah Harrington House was built in 1794. The construction of this house is documented in a contract still preserved inside of the house. At the time of construction, the house sat between notable landmarks such as the First Parish Unitarian Church’s third meeting house, and the Daniel Harrington house (which was demolished in 1875).
Levi Harrington, whom the house is named after, was born on November 9, 1760, in Lexington, Massachusetts. He later married Rebekah Mulliken in 1783. The couple had several children. The house is one of the oldest in Lexington and is part of the town’s rich history.
The Levi and Rebekah Harrington House can be viewed on the official Lexington website.
